File Monitor Error Suppression​

Edge is a modern agent built from first to enable Security and IT professionals to better collect (and Search) their data. Thus, one of the most used sources is the Kubernetes Events Source (jk) the File Monitor Source. This allows users to essentially tail a file and send new data off to wherever it's needed. What tends to happen, however, is Edge gets deployed in both Windows and Linux environments, and the file paths are different. When Edge can't find the file path, it throws an error in the UI. I don't know about you, but errant errors are annoying af. So, we added an option to suppress error messages in Manual mode when a file path doesn't exist.

Observe the new toggle
  1. If you're still in Stream from the previous page, click Products > Edge Fleets at the top-left of the page
  2. Click into default_fleet
  3. Click Collect up top
  4. Click on the File Monitor Source to expand it and click Configure on the in_file_varlog Source

Not a lot to do here besides oggle that toggle, so let's. Nice.
