    What’s a Stream?

Ok, we said quick, but we need to start somewhere!

Stream is a tool for unlocking the value of your observability data, regardless of Source or Destination. That means it’s designed to to help you analyze the widest set of data possible to truly understand the security, performance, and general health of your environment. Think of it as a nexus where you send all your systems' data (i.e. logs, metrics, and traces). Inside Stream you can then explore, enrich, prune, and transform your data before routing it to nearly anywhere you want.

On top of that value proposition, Stream’s UI is crazy user friendly!

Let’s follow a stream of data through Stream (see what we did there?) and discuss why you would use it in the real world.
